The double vinyl album Ptakh (Amber Vinyl Edition) by DakhaBrakha is a profound documentation of personal and collective experiences reshaped under the pressure of war.
For this release, the band crystallized their unique “ethno-chaos” sound, bringing together 14 tracks that tell one cohesive story.
Some of these compositions have lived only on stage for 15–17 years. DakhaBrakha performed them at concerts worldwide but repeatedly postponed recording, waiting for the perfect sound and the right moment. That moment has finally arrived.
About the Album
The album's title, Ptakh (The Bird), is drawn from the track of the same name based on a poem by Serhiy Zhadan.
Here, the bird represents:

- Faith in light
- The freedom to move
- The fundamental right to return home
